Revival starts when we begin hearing from God…. revival begins in our hearts.
What would it take for you to approach the throne of His grace? (Hebrews 4:16)…and what would He need to do for you to come unto Him? (Matthew 11:28-30)
You can know God. This might be the biggest wow of your life, but you can actually get to know who God is and experience a completely different life and purpose found in Him. He is calling for you and me. He knows us and calls us by name (Isaiah 43:1). He is the gatekeeper (John 10:7) and He is the shepherd (John 10:11) and He has laid down His life for us so that those who call upon Him can find Him and be renewed and restored. He is the God of all creation whom is found in scripture and whom we know because of the faith gained by hearing about Him (Romans 10:17) and what He did for us. He is the only One who can bring revival in our hearts — revival begins when it starts in our hearts.
Jesus, our Savior, rejected by Mankind
Jesus (Yeshua in Hebrew) came as a real Man, and physically came to the earth as a Man (existing as 100% divine, and 100% human) to display the love of God to the world. The world saw Him but few understood who He truly was. He was rejected by His own (Isaiah 53:3). Yet, the reason that He came was so that those who dwelt in darkness would find Him, the Light of the World ( John 14:6). And though He was the Light of the world, the world rejected Him as He went to the cross. Only a select few stayed with Him at the cross. But as sinful mankind crucified our Lord, He said as a witness of His love to His creation, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do” (Luke 23:34, NIV). This is the amazing love He has for us — for you and me. This is whom people call upon: Jesus of Nazareth (also knows in Hebrew as “Yeshua”), the Holy One of God, and our Shepherd.
The Divine Truths of Scripture
Getting to know God means we have to be willing to come to Him and read about Him, His life, and the ultimate price He paid for us. Getting to know God is as easy as opening up the Bible. The Bible is more than just a “book.” When we approach the Bible, it’s important to remember this. There are millions of books in the world. But there is only one Book that can bring us to know who God is — and that Book is the Bible. The Bible sets its own precedence in that it is God-breathed (2 Timothy 3:16-17) and it is a perfect revelation from God—the very words of God Himself—and come from historically-preserved manuscripts. Scripture testifies of the great and mighty acts of God from beginning to end and all of scripture declares Him to be Faithful and True (Revelation 19:11), the only begotten Son of God and the only One who can redeem mankind (John 14:6). Scripture is the primary means by which we can know God, it teaches us about who we are called to be in Jesus and how to live, and provides the means by which we can be “trained in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
The Holy Spirit - promised and sent by the Father (God)
The Advocate (or the Holy Spirit) is the One whom Jesus promised the Father would send after He went to the cross. And Jesus went on to say, “But when He, the Spirit of Truth (the Holy Spirit) comes, He will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on His own. He will speak only what He hears. And He will tell you of what is yet to come.” (John 16:13, NIV)
Empowering received from the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit whom God promised and sent to live in us, lives in us to empower us by His Spirit to do great works, with Jesus even saying of the empowered believer, “whoever believes in Me will do the works I am doing, and they will do even greater than these because I am going to the Father….And I will do whatever you ask in My name…” (John 14:12-14).
The works that Jesus is describing is literally not just miracles(!), but healings, and as God wills, empowering the believer to do God’s works through the gifts He has given us, which include speaking in tongues (Acts 2), words of wisdom or knowledge, and discerning of spirits, and prophecy (1 Corinthians 12), in addition to other spiritual giftings promised to those who become His followers.
Are you looking for answers today?
Are you confused by the things happening around you?
You are probably reading this having just witnessed a Megaquake that shook the West Coast of America, and you may be wondering in your mind, what does life look like for me as I move forward?
God has a plan. But, first, let’s take a look at what happened and go from there.
I’m going to be sharing things which the Lord has shown me concerning where we go from here.
Click on Links below that explain what is happening, what God’s plans are, and what comes next.
A look at my personal gifting
Prophecy, which is one of my spiritual giftings, I believe, is just one of the giftings of the Holy Spirit, and the fruit of this gifting, for me, comes through (1) words of knowledge and wisdom, (2) dreams, and (3) visions. This specific gifting (prophecy) is promised to all believers in Joel 2:28-29 but is specifically a gift that God gives, and it is listed among the spiritual gifts in 1 Corinthians 12 for those whom God reveals /shares these things with. The idea that anyone can hear from the Lord in this way is a promise of Joel 2:28-29, but it is according to the will of God (1 Corinthians 12:11). I believe that any believer can request to hear from God in this way, and that any believer can request this spiritual gift from God. In this website, it is my intention to share those things which I have heard from God through the Holy Spirit to help us understand that God is giving us words of (1) warning (about things to come), (and) (2) He has things to say to strengthen and encourage us also!
